Exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian sterling silver Old English pattern salad serving fork; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional antique sterling silver salad serving fork has been crafted in the Old English pattern. This antique Georgian sterling silver fork has six tines with a plain rounded drop. The anterior surface of the handle is plain and embellished to the terminal with a contemporary engraved crest of out of a cap of maintenance a demi-lion rampant*. The reverse surface of this sterling silver serving fork incorporates a pip. Such original examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. * This heraldic crest pertains to the Gilman family. This antique sterling silver fork is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and is in exceptional condition. The engraved heraldic marking is all very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the fork are very clear; the hallmarks are deeply struck due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of silver cutlery.
