An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver bread dish; an addition to our dining silverware collection.
This exceptional antique sterling silver dish has a plain oval boat shaped form.
The body of this impressive silver dish is embellished with fine and impressive pierced vertical pale decoration, incorporating simplified pierced leaf designs to the upper and lower portions.
The ornamentation to the body incorporates a pierced decorated rosette and leaf design to either end.
The upper rim of the dish is encompassed with a paralleling cast and applied gadroon decorated border.
The well of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished.
This impressive English silver dish was crafted in Chester by Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker of Barker Brothers.
