Antique Inlaid Chinoiserie Lacquer Cocktail Cabinet

This is a stunning chinoiserie lacquered cocktail cabinet in super condition dating from around 1920. The cabinet is skilfully lacquered in a rich olive green and inlaid with mixed metals in gold, silver and copper. Consisting of three separate fielded compartments, each is beautifully decorated with traditional Oriental scenes of figures on horseback in woodland settings. The sides of the cabinet too are richly decorated. The olive green lacquer itself has great depth and a wonderful antique patina. Inside the cocktail cabinet is finished in a rich cream shade. It has a fall front to the middle compartment, glass shelves for storing glasses and bottles and there are two working keys. This is in excellent condition throughout and looks simply stunning. A very rare find in this lush green.
