This is an antique cloisonné lamp. A Japanese, bronze urn with light conversion, dating to the 19th Century period and later, circa 1850. Delightfully decorative lamp with a fine conversion displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Lightly aged bronze body hosts bands of colourful cloisonné. Ground accentuated with a profuse relief swirl pattern and animal head masks. Converted during the Art Deco period with a small bayonet bulb mount. Dressed with a generous length of cable, with in-line switch and a British Standards compliant 3-pin plug (UK Type G). Supplied with a quality modern lamp shade in a tasteful light cream hue.
