This is an antique Lion Rampant doorstop. An English, cast iron decorative heraldic door keeper, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
Robust and generously sized, with iconic lion form that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Presented with a good, consistent graphite finish throughout. Appealing detail to the flowing mane and powerful body. Raised upon a vault base with scrolled motif.
This is a charming antique Lion Rampant doorstop, with reassuring weight and of good proportion. Delivered ready for use throughout the home or institution.
