This is a very pretty white marble Portico clock with matching candelabra dating from around 1890. The clock has a hand painted enamel dial with arabic numerals and twin barelled movement striking on a bell on the hour and half hour. The clock face, surmounted by gilt bronze birds and urn finials is supported on Corinthian capped columns on a rectangular plinth with brass beaded detail. There are matching gilt metal and white marble double branch candelabra. The set is of greater scale than some and presents as a very smart and impressive garniture. The clock measures 46 cms high and the matching candelabra are 35 cms high.
This is in perfect running order and keeps good time. It has its original key and requires winding once a week.
