This is an antique ornate wall mirror. French, gilt gesso and bevelled glass mirror, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Dashing wall mirror with an ornate continental elegance that displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Gilt gesso frame presents beautifully with rich golden hues. Original bevelled mirror plate shows a desirable light foxing.
Bold surmount stands prominently above the whole with relief cabochon to centre. Oak leaf and acorn scroll motif decorates the pierced frame. Deep lower surmount with central lobe creates a striking adornment. Ready to mount, dressed with hanging loop to the rear.
This is an attractive antique ornate wall mirror, displaying late 19th century French taste. Delivered polished and ready to hang.
