A handsome pair of stately looking decorative chairs in the Egyptian revival manner with a rather good bust to the front of the arms and little brass toes to the bases. Both chairs are ample in size and well shaped, again with a leaning towards Egyptian revival. The chairs survive in good historic order having been reupholstered in 2015 in a deep emerald green woven silk mix fabric to the sides panels, backs, rear and sprung seat. The frames sit well with day to day marks and a few losses but nothing new. Both chairs sit firm with no movement in the frames or arms. The upholstery is lightly worn with no holes and firmish. We can offer a reupholstery service if requested and this would cost £400 per chair plus Vat and you would need around 3 meters per chair. Something a little different with a real sense of style.
