Antique Pendant Powder Compact Guilloche Enamel Sterling Silver Birmingham 1921

On offer is this antique pendant powder compact made of solid silver and fully hallmarked to the base for Birmingham 1921 with the maker's mark for the silversmiths James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin). This powder compact measures a petite 4.5 cm in diameter. This powder compact has plain silver base and has a fixed bale and ring to the top so that it could be hung from a chain or chatelaine. The front of the case has fabulous blue guilloche enamel with silver borders and the inset lid is the same blue enamel with white enamel and silver border. The compact has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a perfectly clear and reflective glass mirror under the lid. The open powder well in the base is gilded and has some dark marks and is empty of powder. This fine antique powder compact is offered in good condition. The guilloche enamel front has no chips, cracks or losses and any marks in the images are from camera glare and not damage. The silver base has normal light age marks but no dents or dings. As mentioned above there are some dark marks to the inside of the powder well. Thank you for looking.
