Antique Pine Large Single Bed

Condition is only fair: that's because it doesn't really have a good method of making the joints tight; the sides slot into the ends and then are screwed through. Over the years those joints have become loose and the screws are never going to hold them still. The last owners had put metal 'L' brackets above and below each joint (see pics): provided you use two on each it's actually not too bad but it's a bit of a bodge. Wedges in the slots might help too. For one smallish child it'll suffice. Cosmetically it's quite scuffed and worn though that looks quite good. Could benefit from a waxing. It's had a fair bit of woodworm in the past, like most European pine: I've actually not treated it as I see no signs of any modern activity. Easy to do if you want.
