condition
condition
Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and the door and drawers work well enough. Very slight stiffness to two drawers; this will probably improve in a warm house but isn't much anyway. The door is also a bit stiff but this keeps it shut: there's no key for the lock. Again it's not bad. Cosmetically it has various marks of age: scuffs and scrapes, some marks from previous damp, the odd chip, particularly front left top of the base section (pictured). The mirror has a bit of silvering on it but more obviously it's got 3 or 4 scratches on it (see pics). We've not waxed this piece because, despite all the above issues, it has rather a nice feel to it as is. Why make work when there is none to do?
