Antique Sewing Set / Etui in Tooled Leather Purse / Hand Bag c.1880

This attractive antique sewing set dates circa 1880 and consists of tooled leather purse form case with ornate brass fittings and brass and wood handle containing matching leather carry strap containing bone sewing implements, silver thimble and also containing a pack of needles and spare bobbin. The double sided interior of the case has golden brown, tufted silk lining with loops to hold the sewing tools. There is a large silk pocket at the centre and the other side of the case has a bevelled glass mirror. This sewing set is offered in good antique condition. The leather case is strong and sturdy and the leather exterior has only light age related wear.The interior silk fabric is in very good order with no soiling or fading. The implements are all in good order with no major tarnish or notable damage. Thank you for looking.
