Description
This is an antique ship's mooring bitt or maritime bollard. An extremely heavy (170Kg / 375lb), English, cast iron ship’s capstan dating to the late Georgian period. Stout bollards with 39cm (15.25 inches) mooring height. Desirable, time served patina. One side features a flared mooring arm for easier rope location. Broad mounting plate with six bolt holes. A lovely antique ship’s mooring bitt. Delivered polished and ready for duty.
