Description
A delightful antique Victorian silver pin cushion in the style of a shoe. It has super detail and is completed by a dark blue velvet cushion. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1895 / 1896 and was produced by the esteemed Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd.

Larkin & Gallow has clarified that the Antique Solid Silver Pin Cushion of Shoe Form (LA492220) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1895 / 1896
condition
Condition is good for the age of the piece. The silver is bright, clean and complete, but as with many pin cushions of this age there is one small penetrative hole (presumably by a misplaced pin from a user in the gloom of late nineteenth, early twentieth century lighting) to the right and forward of the circular decorative embellishment.
