Antique Treen 18th Century Beech Mangle Board With Extensively Carved Patterns - Dutch 1760-1780

This is a fine 18th Century (1760-1780) Dutch antique beech Friesland mangle board, skillfully carved with flower heads, and many assorted geometric designs.... these beautiful boards were used to remove the water from clothing after it had been washed and when of no further use, they would be carved and dated by your husband and then presented to your wife as a token of love.....Friesland is to be found in the North East part of the Netherlands and always produced some beautiful mangle boards like this fine example....excellent condition with a very good colour and patina.
