Description
Stunning, fine and impressive antique 0.87 carat emerald and 0.70 carat diamond, 22 carat yellow gold ring; part of our antique emerald jewellery collection.
This stunning, fine and impressive antique emerald ring has been crafted in 22ct yellow gold.
The domed setting is ornamented with an impressive feature 0.87ct cabochon cut emerald.
The impressive feature emerald is flanked on either side by an individually set 0.36ct and 0.34ct marquise cut diamond.
The broad ring shoulders blend with the main setting and meld seamlessly with the plain ring shank.
The interior of this antique engagement ring shank bears the engraved inscription 'L. G. to R. E. 19 May 1896'; this engraving can be partially or fully removed upon request.
This antique ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 22 carat gold; this indicates the high quality of the piece.
This impressive emerald ring is supplied with two Idgl diamond grading report certificates for the feature stones, in addition to an Idgl gemstone grading report card for the emerald.
Such period rings set with such exceptionally high graded diamonds and superior emeralds are uncommon to the market; an additional indication of the high quality of this piece.
'Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics.'
