Stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 2.35 carat diamond and 18 carat yellow gold dress ring; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning antique ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold. The vertical elliptical shaped design is ornamented with a stunning feature claw set 0.74ct Old European cut diamond to the centre. The principal stone is flanked to the upper and lower portion with an Old European cut diamond, each bordered by a pair of small diamonds; complimenting the elongated design of the ring. This central linear arrangement is bordered with twelve claw set Old European cut diamonds forming a scalloped border to the cluster design. The pierced decorated, scrolling ring shoulders blend with the setting and meld with the plain hallmarked ring shank. This antique Victorian diamond ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark (L&L),the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18ct fineness mark (18), the Birmingham assay office hallmark (anchor) and the date letter for 1899 (z). This impressive antique Victorian diamond ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report certificate for the feature stone, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones. The well colour matched supporting diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance. The ring is an exceptional gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with very clear Birmingham hallmarks to the interior of the shank. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian jewellery.
