St. Hubertus was an 8th century Christian saint, the patron of hunting and metalworkers in Liege amongst other patronages. Delightfully cast in relief with copious ornate detail Displays a desirable aged patina with some historic marks to rim. Cool and tactile lead presents appealing blue-grey hues. Central medallion depicts St. Hubertus hunting within a forest glade. Decorated rim presents repeating hunting scene panels. Ready for wall hanging with a cast mount to the reverse.
