Art Deco Jewelled & 900 Filigree Silver Powder Compact c.1930

On offer is this superb powder compact most likely of German manufacture dating circa 1930. The compact measures approx 5.5cm in width and height and has an octagonal shape. It is made of 900 silver marked on the base. The base is plain silver whilst the sides and lid have fabulous very ornate, decorative silver filigree design with a central emerald green glass cabochon at the centre of the lid. The silver has a very light gold wash finish. The case has firm hinge and flip down catch and opens to reveal a clean silver interior with engraved detail. Under the lid is a clear and reflective bevelled glass mirror. The open powder well in the base has the original orange silk backed puff and contains an almost full godet of bright red pressed rouge/powder. This excellent quality art deco powder compact is offered in very good condition with no flaws found. Thank you for your interest.
