Description
This is a stunning Art Deco mirror clock that consists of 13 individual mirrored pieces. The centre dial is circular in shape with graduated segments identifying the minutes and hours. It is peach coloured and has a good bevelled edge.
The middle section of this three section clock is a floral design (chrysanthemum) a design synonymous with the period. This consists of four individual pieces with top cut segmentation around it and the top edge has a good bevelled edge.
The outer section of this mirror clock consists of eight individual pieces, cut again in a Floral design and each piece has a star motif, again, a typical period design. Each of these pieces has a good bevelled edge all round and adds a further art deco dimension to this wonderful piece.
There are no deep scratches, chips, or nibbles on this clock and the reflectivity is very good. There are a couple of small areas with age related marks. However, these do not detract from the overall beauty of this piece (see pics).
The original electric motor was missing from this mirror and a modern battery operated motor has been added.
All 13 pieces are mounted on a wooden backboard and a metal hook is attached to the rear.
This is a superb period piece that would grace any room.
