Description
This Art Deco piece was an absolute essential for all gentlemen of the period, whether at home or packed when travelling.
As expected the design is simple, clean and typical of the era.
It is however, primarily a domestic object that would have seen service daily, if not several times a day - not only for the morning shave, but also when; the moustache was waxed or trimmed, spots managed, nasal hair despatched and more often than not, an evening ‘toilette’ routine; perhaps with a quick shave to avoid damaging sheets with bristle rub.

condition
condition
As a consequence of constant use, the mirror demonstrates a healthy range of ‘signs of use’; several light surface scratches to the mirror, a small patch of silvering loss at the base (at circa 5 o’clock), a few dinks to the silver frame and a little light corrosion to the stand’s back-plate.
All that said, if a man in your life is desirous of a good quality magnifying shaving/toilet mirror this could be the one.
