Description
We have for a quite unusual heavy but small and cute arts and crafts silver mustard by the well known silversmiths Levi and Salaman 1908.
This attractive Arts & Crafts silver mustard is of an ovoid for extending with conical lid extending to a scrolling rococo design obliquely arranged handle terminating on the with scrolls reminiscent of a stylised clover leaf. The body is further decorated with incised clover leaves within defined regions of planishing. The mustard carries full English hallmarks for Birmingham 1908, along with the makers marks for Levi and Salaman.
Note: The silver looks as if it has an odd pebble dashed patination in the photographs, this is actually an artefact, the light box used for the photographs has pebble dashed reflective side walls that have been reflected in the surface of the mustard pot body.
