Basket Rare Treen Folk Art Norwegian Trinket c.1890

Here we have a wonderful late 19th Century (c.1890) Norwegian folk art basket. As you can see the colours are bright from the original painted decoration. The basket is made from Birch with a bent wood handle. Probably for flowers or trinkets this basket has pierced sides and little cylinder feet and is beautifully decorated throughout.
