This is a delightful painting after Francois Boucher ( 1702-1770 ) dating from around 1890. The picture is superbly painted in bold gouache colours and depicts a pastoral scene with figures in the country catching wild songbirds.
It is beautifully framed in a good quality gilt bronze frame with decorative bronze inner mount inset into a striking black border that gives the painting an air of quality.
