Black and Gold Demi Lune Console Table with Drawer

A charming little antique table dating to the late Victorian era. The table is quite compact and lightweight, made of mahogany and mixed woods. It is perfect for use in a hallway or lounge, the ideal size for displaying a vase of flowers or a treasured piece of china. The table is demi lune in shape and has a decorative acanthus front support and low undertier. The front of the table is fitted with a small drawer and the top is finished with a low back plate. I have hand painted this piece in black water based paint before highlighting the table with gold and then waxing the finish for protection. The paintwork is solid colour and has a mid sheen.
