I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop in Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Description
A very soft and tranquil scene of Dalkey Harbour (also called Colliemore), south of Dublin in Ireland. It lies opposite the uninhabited Dalkey Island, which can be seen in the background with its ruined church of St Begnet (a site of pilgrimage) and its 19th century Martello tower. The painting has a feeling of silence about it, with the occupants of the boat barely breaking the water with their oars! Signed by the artist lower right and dated 1981.
Not much is known of Brenda Heath, save that she was Irish and a member of Royal Hibernian Academy. Her great niece is also an artist and refers to her on her website.
