Description
A wonderful deep rich burgundy red frame, with a mottled leather style lacquer, a prominent burnished rounded gilt finish just brings this 1950s mirror to life.
When you study the paint lacquer it has a lovely depth and sheen, married to the burnished gilt finish which highlights the interesting individual look. When the light catches the frame the magic happens and you see something special come alive.
The solid frame has a concave central area, beaded inner border, chain linked outer border and foliate swags to each corner linking the design together nicely.
On the back it has the remanence of old paint on the frame, a hard back with a nice bright mirror. Very versatile size for most walls and could easily be hung portrait or landscape to suit the room.
A real gem.
