A superb quality oak cupboard from the 1920's. The stretchered base is intersected with carved baluster legs in the Elizabethan style, this gives way to three 'bombe' fronted drawers all lined in solid oak and French polished. Above these are three cupboards with a bold octagonal moulding with carvings to the corners and centre. These doors are framed in a carved frieze and apron of fruiting vine. The doors and drawers all retain their beautiful cast brass drop handles. When the central door is opened it reveals three lined cutlery drawers. All locks are working with keys present. The top has a simple gallery with a carved edge. The middle section of this cupboard projects slightly adding to it's appeal and the whole is in remarkably good condition. The piece comes into two section which makes it's movement much easier, it is very heavy as you could expect of this high quality of craftsmanship.
