Cees Braakman Large High Mid Century Sideboard

A beautiful quality high sideboard by the Dutch designer Cees Braakman for the Netherlands furniture brand Pastoe, this is from the Japanese Visions collection and will make a fabulous storage piece for a mid century interior. Pastoe’s objects have been exhibited in a number of galleries and museums. - Removable shelves, two each side and one in the central section. - Two low level central drawers. - Lovely wrap around hinge designs in black metal. - Square stretchered black metal base, with the unit standing 32 cm above the floor. - Solid, heavy piece. - Original keys available. At nearly 2.5 metres in length, this is a large piece of furniture which will make a fabulous storage piece for a living room, with plenty of space for a variety of items. The shelves are removable, allowing the internal height to be adjusted as required and making it ideal for anything from vinyl music to dining room crockery. In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are a number of light surface scratches, scuffs and small chips from the veneer at the edges suggesting it has been well used, but it is structurally sound and the wear is consistent with its age.
