Here we have a stunning and very rare Military campaign chest of drawers by W Priest 1 and 2 Tudor Street Blackfriars London (c.1840). As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. This outstanding cabinet maker produced some of the finest furniture for offices in the period from their address at 23 Great Charlotte street and Water street. However pieces from 1 and 2 Tudor street Blackfriars are hard to find. This military chest is probably unique. There is a paper label on the inside of the top drawer and the second drawer down has the full Priest stamp. There is a stunning flame top and beautiul corner brass mounts. The flush brass mounts continue over all the vulnerable areas. There are fine hand cut dovetail joints and faux cockbeaded edges to the drawers. There are solid Mahogany linings including bases and the original rebated brass handles. Most importantly there are original screw in feet.
