Here we have a stunning small George III Mahogany bachelors chest of drawers c.1770. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. This rare small chest is of classic form and has beautiful features that set it apart from most. The single piece top has super grain and colour with a stepped thumb moulded edge and re-entrant or baby's bottom corners. Below there is a solid Mahogany brushing slide of equal quality timber to the top. There are four straight drawers which have cock beaded edges, Oak linings and remarkably all their original and beautiful brass swan neck handles. The chest sits on the original bracket feet with original back boards to the rear. The chest has solid Mahogany sides and is of wonderful compact proportions being only 80 cm wide 51 cm deep and 84 cm high.
