Child's George III Mahogany Writing Bureau

I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. Still able to deliver to most areas, so if I can be of any help please do not hesitate to contact me. A very pretty unusually small sized, country made, George III period, mahogany bureau. This appears to have been made for a child as the writing height is only 22”(56cms). It stands on its original well shaped bracket feet, with three drawers above. The writing slope, which has a working key, is lowered to reveal a very full and busy interior. This lovely little bureau has its old polished surface showing a few small repairs but is generally is in excellent strong condition. The brass drawer handles and escutcheons are mainly original with a couple of old replacements.
