This is a fabulous vintage 20 x piece bone China tea set by 'Tuscan', from their wonderful "Alderney" pattern. The set includes: 6 x cups, 6 x saucers, 6 x side plates, sugar bowl, and milk jug. The Tuscan brand, owned by 'R.H. & S.L. Plant', from their Tuscan Works in Longton, Stoke, produced the Alderney pattern between 1961 and 1966 (such as this set), before Plants was a acquired by Wedgwood, and the Alderney pattern series became marked with 'Royal Tuscan'. The sophisticated Alderney pattern is a delightful and timeless design that graces fine white China.
