China Trio: Stunning Art Deco China Trio by Collingwood, From Their “Blue Florinda” Pattern

Stunning Art Deco (c.1933) fine bone China trio by Collingwood Bros Ltd, from their “Blue Florinda” pattern. The trio includes: Teacup, octogen-shaped saucer (with scalloped corners), and octagon-shaped side plate (also with scalloped corners). The firm, founded by brothers Charles and Arthur Benjamin Collingwood, traded from their St. George Works pottery in Longton, Staffs, during the Deco period. However, this Works did not reopen after Ww2 and the dormant business was acquired by Arthur Wood & Son (Longport) Ltd. From March 1948 it then traded under licence as ‘Collingwood China Ltd’. This lovely hand-painted trio, has vibrant, upbeat blue flowers with subtly embossed red centres on a pure white China background.
