Description
A wonderful early 1920’s Art Deco fine bone China trio made under Royal Alberts ‘Crown China’ mark. The trio in a fluted design with scalloped edging, includes: Teacup, saucer, and octogen-shaped side plate.
From around 1918 the Royal Albert pottery firm in Longton, Staffs, (owned by Thomas C. Wild & Sons), started using the ‘Crown China’ mark on their patterns, and from c1920-1936, the mark was used extensively to produce fabulous Art Deco patterns and designs, before it was made into a separate subsidiary company within the group.
This lovely trio is hand-painted with delicate yellow wash and gold trim, on a pure white background, and as highlighted, it includes the classical octagon-shaped, Deco period side plate.
