Country House Upholstered Armchair In A Suzani Kilim

A fine country house open arm library chair beautifully designed and shaped to follow the contours of a human body. The serpent shaped arms support you and in comfort. The rake of the back caresses you in a relaxed laid back way so you can enjoy resting at ease. The hardwood frame is as solid as the day it was made back in the 19th century in the Manner of Howard & Sons on the original brass and ceramic castors, supported by turned and carved legs. The seat is low and allows you to stretch out your legs in pure comfort. Position a low table and you can sip your favourite apéritif while soaking up your latest acquisition. The open arm library chair has been upholstered in a vintage Afghan Tribal Suzani Kilim and the Kilim is around 50 years old. Saying this the Kilim is in remarkable condition, without marks or stains and very clean. The Suzani kilim is handmade with a traditional and colorful embroidered design hand stitched with a wonderful floral pattern synonymous with the local tribal communities of Afghanistan.  A beautiful statement piece of comfortable furniture. The only problem is someone is going to always hog the seat!
