I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today most of my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Description
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Still able to deliver to most areas, so if I can be of any help please do not hesitate to contact me.
This is an interesting, dated German pewter plate with an engraving in the centre depicting a gentleman and two ladies, on the rim is the date 1690 and the initials H W H. All round the rim is the following wording ‘Bildnis Des Wohlehrbaren Consvls Valentin Dehmar V Seiner Zweiten Tochter Hanna V Eva’ which translates as ‘Portrait Of The Well-Teachable Consvls Valentin Dehmar V His Second Daughter Hanna V Eva. This plate is well marked on the back and is in good original condition.
