Dennison Pocket Watch Box 1930s Antique Protective Box For A 16 Size

Original Dennison Watch Case Co Ltd pocket watch box. These would have been given by the retailer to nicely present a new Dennison cased pocket watch. Not many have survived. (Waltham pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and Not included). Ideal for a 16 size (5cm width) or smaller pocket watch. Measures; 6.5cm (2 1/2") square x 3cm (1 1/4") depth. Deep yellow/gold coloured cardboard box which is clearly stamped to back and front with the Dennison Trade symbol of a Gentleman's arm holding a hammer reaching out of a castle turret, with a large shield cartouche to centre containing very fancy intertwined initials; Dq and below this is a long 'ribbon' banner cartouche which is stamped within; Dennison Quality. Three sides of the box are stamped in large black script; Dennison Watch Case Company Ltd and the base is also stamped with Country of origin; Birmingham, England. Inner box and outer casing are a very good snug fit and the inner compartment is still lined with the original cream coloured ribbed cardboard (this is usually long gone).
