Description
This bowl is marked T100G and others on silver hallmarking and discussion sites are suggesting that this represents a high purity of silver, which is supported by the colour and softness of the metal. Weight 107g.
The chasing is extensive and in minute detail with barely a surface un-worked.
The Antiquers.com web site has similarly marked items with engravings in a Gujarati dialect, hinting that the item may be from that part of Western India. However, I cannot be sure and would be grateful for any additional information, post listing. All of the Asian silver or white metal objects I have seen this is one of the most finely detailed.
Purchased items are dispatched within 3 working days, following cleared payment. They are carefully and securely packed and most will be postage free on the UK mainland. All items are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations, which give buyers the right to cancel the purchase within 7 days after receipt of the item, for a full refund less Return transport costs.
Please note additional items used to assist in photography are Not included in the sale unless clearly stated.
All measurements and weights are approximate.
The items for sale are not new, some have considerable age and that can also mean wear. I have tried to highlight major areas of obvious wear, damage or restoration but wear of a general nature must be expected with older items.
We accept Paypal or telephone payment, with most debit & credit cards.

condition
The body and lid fit together but there are minor creases to the lid and body rim and compression marks to the bowl body. The metal is soft and easily impressed. These could be reversed quite easily by someone who knows hat they are doing.
