Early George II 18th Century Queen Anne Pair of Mahogany Silk Upholstered Side Chairs c.1730

Early 18th Century George II (c.1730) pair of side chairs, in the Queen Anne style. These handsome chairs constructed in solid mahogany and upholstered in silk fabric. Featuring a solid vasiform splat back, top rail with delicate curved scrolled crest. Drop in upholstered seats, recently reupholstered in the traditional manner, covered with Gainsborough* silk damask. Broad apron seat rails. Raised on cabriole front legs with carved scrolling on offset pad feet, splayed oval rear legs supported by turned stretchers. A wonderful pair of early chairs, very rare and of excellent quality, beautifully presented.
