Edward William Wyon Sculpture Dated 1848, Oberon & Titania

Carved marble Roundel of Oberon & Titania from “A Midsummer Nights Dream” by Edward William Wyon (1811 - 1885), Dated 1848. A bronze medallion of cupid inset to the obverse, housed in a stuccoed giltwood frame. The carved roundel is in tact and in lovely condition. The frame shows signs of age with some minor cracking to the stucco plaster edges and some shrinkage, as seen in the photos, on the circle of plaster adjacent to the roundel. The gold leaf is largely fine but with some rubbing in places. Please ask if you require further details, we are always happy to help. We dispatch within 3 working days, following cleared payment.
