Description
An elegant small Edwardian mahogany salon couch, this English piece will look delightful against a wall in a reception room or entrance hall.
- Attractive faded velvet upholstery in dusky pink fading to gold, with braided edging.
- Pretty inlaid design showing musical instruments on the crest and a cupid with a bow and arrow on the splat, with fruit, flowers and a ribbon swag.
- Fretwork spindled panels either side of the centre.
- Stringing on the front edges, around the back and inside the arms.
- Comfortable sprung seat.
- Lightweight and elegant.
In generally good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is some breakage to one side of the decorative fretwork back on the left side. Minor rubbed marks along the crest top, which are not obtrusive. The upholstery is faded, but otherwise good condition.
