This is a very attractive and high quality mahogany washstand from the Edwardian period. Aside from the slightly later handles this piece is absolutely original, right down to it's castors. The pink variegated marble top has no cracks or chips and is typical of better quality washstands. The tiles have traces of glaze cracking but only visible on very close inspection and nothing you would not expect. The pale green colour is unusual and the central tiles have a strong Robert Adam influence. The two door base has satinwood and ebony crossbanding to the panels and simple ball catches to close.
These washstands have many uses around the house and businesses and we have sold many as drinks cabinets and lately to a hairdresser salon.
