This antique Maple & Co display cabinet was made during the height of the Edwardian (c.1910) period. Maple & Co who were known for the finest quality furnishings for the home, had large stores in Tottenham Court Road, London, also in Paris and Buenos Aires. This beautiful cabinet has bow fronted drawers in the base section and a concave cupboard to each side. The top section with the central glazed door and with concave glass panels to each side of this. Using the designs and style of Robert Adam, it is sumptuously inlaid throughout, displaying the skills of fine marquetry work by the accomplished cabinetmaker. The cabinet top is surmounted by a carved swan-neck pediment.
