The upper structure of this bookcase is of breakfront design with a superb swan neck pediment to its ogee-shaped cornice. The astragal glazed doors have a diamond-shaped leaded window to the uppermost section complete with a central 'bullseye'. Sat on an open center section with turned baluster supports. The base has four cupboards that incorporate two deeply fielded panels which are duplicated on the sides. All the brass handles are original to the piece and all the locks have keys and are working.
