Description
This Edwardian walnut grandmother clock was made circa 1910 and is a superior version of the usual clocks of this style you see. It is made in walnut and styled in the Queen Anne style of a longcase clock. It has an 8-day German movement with Westminster chimes, that strikes on every quarter and on the hour. The sliding hood with the very fine barley sugar columns, and the fretted sides to allow the gently chimes to be heard. The case has the lovely long door with feather banding. The door opens to reveal the long pendulum. This clock is working, that gives a pleasant chime and a soft tick. The base of the case has the sectioned walnut mouldings that replicate the ones you find on all period walnut pieces.
Imagine this lovely clock in your home and the pleasure it will give.
On occasions customers have been disappointed to miss an item as they e-mailed their enquiry instead of phoning, I would recommend that if you wished to get the piece, please call rather than e-mail.
