Very likely a military issue piece and made by Liss Brothers we have an attractive 2 drawer cabinet of smaller scale and of lighter oak than many of its era. We are talking good design and neat shape on this one with a simple set up of 2 deep top drawers, one with cutlery sections, finished in green baize, with a useful two door cupboard with removable shelf inside. Plenty to admire about this piece - the lovely English oak turned knobs, the slightly tapered well shaped legs, pleasing grain and overall easy on the eye design. We have ensured the cabinet is neat and tidy, drawers are running fine, the interior is clean and the piece possesses sensible gentle wear - nothing off putting.
