Whilst there are examples of swinging cherub clocks for sale from time to time it is very rare to find one by the original inventor, FARCOT of PARIS. He was the person who first came up with the design of making a pendulum swing back to front rather than side to side. Hence the rocking cherub. This clock is signed by him.
The alabaster frame is in good order for it's age but has the usual little nicks associated with this material, adding to the overall ambiance of the piece. The white enamelled dial is in perfect order with no chips, cracks or crazing.
The clock stands on it's original ebonised base with it's original glass dome.
The movement, signed FARCOT PARIS, has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mth full parts and labour guarantee.
All cards accepted.
