Fine Rare Large Victorian W.T&S Tonks Stags Head Brass & Copper Dinner Gong Circa 1880’s

Super quality and large Victorian brass and copper wall mounted dinner gong the Finely cast and detailed copper Stags head with brass collar is surrounded with a brass beed frame and mounted on its oval oak backboard. The large Oval brass gong is made by the specialist gong maker William Suckling and bears his ‘Burmese” Mark, of good sound and tone and measures 14 inches x 11 inches. The gong is suspended by silk rope hat is held from the stylised bit. The beater (old but may not be the original) hangs from a brass hook at the base. The Stag’s collar is marked to the back W.T&S and their sun logo. Please see photographs as they form part of the description.
