French Empire Commode a Porte with Marble Top

Very decorative and unusual early 19th Century (c.1830) French Empire “commode a porte” or chest with doors, with all original brass mounts and marble top. This a a striking piece of furniture, the combination of the rich mahogany tones and the brass mounts is fabulous, finished with the dark charcoal marble top and ebonised lions paw feet. Inside the doors you have a full width drawer and a central full width shelf, also the lock and key are in working order too.
